Why we age
There is much confusion regarding anti-aging and anti-death - anti-death is actually extending life but not necessarily the quality of it. Aging is the processes by which an individual gradually weakens and loses functions.
Anti-aging seeks to understand the processes and use natural methods to intervene so that youthful characteristics are preserved. Exciting new discoveries are being made daily for controlling genetic agings and I will continue to report to you as information is available. Click to continue reading...

Tale of a Fragrance
The problem with scented products is not so much the smell itself as the chemicals that produce the scent, or fragrance if you prefer. Today's perfume is not made from flowers like they once were in the Victorian era, but rather from toxic chemicals.
Ninety-five percent of chemicals used in fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum. They include benzene derivatives, aldehydes and many other known toxics and sensitizers - just one perfume can contain more than 500 chemicals. Click to continue reading...

Being a practitioner in the Inland Northwest of the U.S., I know only too well the devastating life-changing challenges victims and families of those afflicted with multiple sclerosis (MS) must endure. This area of the country has the largest percentage of MS cases in the country; many thought to be from what is called "Down-winders Syndrome" from a toxic spill at the Hanford Nuclear Plant in Washington state in the 1950's. I've witnessed what this disease does to families...they slowly watch their loved ones fade away into a twisted collage of emotional and physical deterioration that no human should ever have to endure.
Now, to add insult to injury, the FDA has just approved a new drug that supposedly helps MS patients walk faster; I wonder if those that approved it are actually taking some kind of mind-altering drug? Click to continue reading...

Household consumer products injure 33.1 million people in the United States every year. These incidents cost $800 billion in related expenses from death, injury or property damages. And many scientists are starting to believe that, in particular, the chemicals found in a wide variety of the goods you use every day may be more toxic than previously thought.
This brain scan shows a healthy brain to the left and one exposed to chemicals on the right...talk about losing one's marbles! Need more proof? I don't. Click to continue reading...

I've discussed significant information about various new research and nutrients that have proven effective in our constant thirst to slow the aging processes. Vitamin C is, again, one of those nutrients that, until now, has not received the credit its due.
According to research conducted by Marcus Cooke (co-author) at the University of Leicester, UK, their team is encouraged because Vitamin C shows the definate ability of the DNA to repair itself after being damaged; as well as being protective through its strong antioxidant properties. C...ing Why We Age
I don't know about you, but I'm beginning the best part of the rest of my life at age 62! We do not have to accept aging natural phenomenon as the "natural order of things". That said, we must keep some important facts in mind in order to truly understand why we age and why we age prematurely. We die because we get sick, and we get sick because our cells become old and/or die-off. Click to continue reading...
