Most of my readers know that I have devoted my life to assisting those with chemically-induced immune system disorders and reporting about it in my writings and teaching. That said, what is happening now is that therapy devices that carry a high level of electromagnetic charge are being used in an attempt to either detoxify or, hopefully, regain some quality of life. What, in fact, is occuring is that when an already toxic individual exposes themselves to these high frequency devices (for example,those that are meant to pinpoint specific deficiencies and pathogens that carry electrical current to do their job), are potentially exposing themselves to such a high dose of EMFs that it puts their immune reponses over the edge.
Understanding Levels of Exposure
EMF is everywhere, almost as common as the air you breathe. If you're like the typical person living in modern society, there is not a time during your typical day when you are not exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMF). This type of environment has never existed in the history of human civilization before. What consequence does this type of invisible presence have on your ability to fully function as an organic human being?
With the explosion in radio and TV broadcasting stations, radio telephone networks, cordless phones and cell phones, the density of radio waves and microwaves around you is now many millions of times higher than natural levels. The same applies to Extreme Low Frequency (ELF) fields produced by the dozens of electrical appliances in households in the industrialized world and the power lines feeding those devices. Industrialized countries in North America, Western Europe and China emit so much ELF energy that it can be sensed by satellites in space.
Health-depleting Effects of EMFs:
Research shows that EMF fields have a significant disruptive effect on the natural energy levels of your body. They magnify your body's "flight or fight" responses, compounding your adrenal loads from other stressors and significantly reducing your ability to cope effectively. The unhealthy levels of EMF pollution to which we are now exposed every day, have been proven to:
- disrupt your natural energy levels
- trigger stress responses
- impair your body's natural ability to heal.
- adds stress to your already taxed system – compound stress.
- contribute to your energy depletion and fatigue.
Scientists estimate that YOUR daily exposure to EMF radiation
is 100 Million Times higher than it was in your Grandparents' time.
What Can You Do To Reduce Your Electromagnetic Toxic Load?
The following are a few suggestions, keeping in mind that the most toxin- and electromagnetic-free zone MUST be your bedroom in order to achieve and maintain maximum health.
- NEVER use digital clocks or devices in your bedroom. Use a battery-operated clock and only plug-in a table lamp or use an overhead lamp. I use a battery-operated clock that when a button is depressed it shines the time in huge numbers on the ceiling...the most useful gift I've ever received.
- NEVER have a cell phone or charger in your bedroom.
- NEVER have a T.V., Music System, etc. in your bedroom.
- Other than maybe a nightlight or monitor, NEVER have other electronic devices plugged in in the nursery or a child's room - they're the most susceptible to neurological damage because they are still in the developmental stage.
- If you use an electric bed-warmer, like I do in the winter, warm the bed PRIOR to getting in and UNPLUG the device. NEVER use electric blankets, the electrical current is constantly interferring with neurological functions. In stead, use organic, allergen-free down blankets or comforters, or natural fabric blankets.
- If you must plug-in items in the bedroom such as an air purifier for allergies, use a Home Harmonizer unit that plugs into a centrally-located wall socket - it assists in neutralizing the EMFs. I have one plugged in my home office, directly under the desk where my four monitors and tower are plugged. Previous to using the Harmonizer, I could only work on my computer with multiple screens about 4-5 hours without experiencing extreme dry eyes, blurred vision and unusual fatigue. Once I began using the Harmonizer, I work at my computer more hours than I'd like to admit (usually 10-12 daily) on days I'm not consulting.
- NEVER have computers, laptops, Blackberry's or otherwise, in your bedroom - they send out constant EMF's.
- NEVER use plug-in air fresheners - they're not only toxic synthetic fragrances but also emit EMFs
I have patients that must unplug everything except their stove in the kitchen in order to even enter that room. When sensitivites become this extreme, which was once the case for me as well, it takes detective work to know where to begin reducing the body's overall toxic load from all sources in order for the body to again begin to repair and return to "normal" function without negatively responding.

The Way I See It...
No one understands how series and life-altering these sensitivies become unless, like me, you've been a victim and recovered your immune system from the long odyssey of being allergic to everything you consume and are exposed to environmentally -- as described in detail in my best-selling book, I was Poisoned by my body.
DO NOT attempt to use medical-type devices because someone says it might help you detox or identify underlying causes. I recently had a patient who was loaned a device to use on her face that is suppose to kill infection from long-standing dental infections that she cannot resolve because of her intolerance to most procedures. In addition, she used a machine that is touted to kill pathogens through electrical charge. She has now lost all quality of life and has even become allergic to all her clothing and everything in her home. Previous to these last two exposures, she was given ozone as part of an internal detox program.
Well-intended individuals offer options but unless they are a health professional, you may be adding to your overall body burden and literally setting your healing back to a critical state.
Whomever you decide to seek for advice, please make sure they are well informed regarding environmental illnesses and multiple chemical sensitivities...you are, after all, already exceeding your toxic load or you wouldn't consider using these devices....that's the way I see it.
